Overlooking the green nature of the Black Sea, the monastery was built on top of a 300-meter high rocky block. Besides being a monument to the 4th century, the monastery has retained important strategic points along Zigana Road. The monastery, which was destroyed by a fire in 1906, was restored for the third time by Abdul Hamid Han. Peristerra Monastery, nestled between unique streams and the scent of woods, has an impressive look with its architecture.
