The Atasu Dam is a project designed to supply Trabzon drinking water, utilities and industrial water needs, while generating power at the same time. It is located on the Galian stream, has a height of 118 meters from the foundation, a volume of 4.65 million cubic meters, built of concrete. 91.25 million cubic meters of drinking water, utilities and industrial water annually to Trabzon province, the dam provides 27.14 gigawatts of energy annually with a capacity of 5 megawatts, on 27.03.2012.
