The church was known as the Greek monastery in the Ottoman era. It has served for about 2000 years. The church was opened to the public in 2000. The church has witnessed civilizations such as Rome, the Seljuks and the Ottoman Empire since its construction. There are two large intersecting rooms as well as a large rectangular room. The building, which was built as an imperial bath in the Young Roman era at the beginning of the 3rd and 4th centuries, was converted into a church in the Byzantine period only at the beginning of the 5th century. A new burial chamber was added to the church after the church was destroyed and added to the south cross arm. A rectangular corridor opened to the western wall of this section.
