Known as Lake Karadeniz, which is one of the most famous lakes in the province of Rize, is located on a plateau. The lake waters flow into the Vertina Valley, the lake is located on the path used by both mountain climbers who climb the Kachkar summit and cross the plateau from Camlihemsin to Yusufli in Artvin, at an altitude of 2,782 meters. There are lakes Misok and Hoch near Karadeniz Lake, above which are two smaller lakes.
