Alaga Hoyuk Museum and Archeology, Excavations began in the ancient area in 1935 and as a result of the excavations, various layers belonging to the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods were found. The Gates of the Sphinx and the Kings Tombs are among the most important discoveries in this ancient region. Traces of settlement in the area are believed to date back to 5000 BC. The museum houses ethnographic artifacts such as carpets and rugs belonging to the area, wooden agricultural implements, weaving looms, perforations, bits, and firearms from the Ottoman era. The museum houses ethnographic artifacts such as carpets and rugs belonging to the area, wooden agricultural implements, weaving looms, perforations, bits, and firearms from the Ottoman era. However, the most important pieces in the museum are the thirteen tombs that have been found from the Old Bronze Age. The museum was first opened in 1940 and then in 1982, it began receiving its visitors in its building within the ruins. Restoration work was carried out in the museum in 2011. Old Bronze Age works, Hittite and Phrygian works are on display.
