Bayport Castle, the exact date of its construction is unknown. Historical studies have revealed that the castle has a history dating back to 3 thousand years BC. Restored by the Byzantine Emperor Justinianus in the eleventh century AD, it was used for defense and security in the center of trade for thousands of years. The castle is also known as Shimashin Castle. The castle still has its walls and strongholds today. There is a café where you can relax and watch the city view in the area where the castle is located.
