Al-Fateh Mosque, built as a church in the 9th century when Amasra was under Byzantine rule. It began to be used as a mosque in 1460 after the conquest of the city by the conqueror Sultan Muhammad Han, and one of the most important features of the mosque is that sermons are read with the sword after the conquest. In 1887, the barrel vaulted roof was demolished due to its dangerous size, and a timber roof was built in its place.
