Aladdin Mosque. The construction of the mosque began during the reign of the Seljuk Sultan Rukn al-Din Masoud I, who ruled between 1116-1156, but it was completed in 1221, during the reign of Alaeddin Kikubad I. There is an inscription on the northern gate of the mosque. According to this inscription, The mosque was built by the engineer Muhammed bin Haflan from Damascus, more than 40 marble columns from the Roman and Byzantine era were used during the construction of the mosque, it draws attention in terms of architecture, this place also has a special importance because it is the oldest building built in Konya during the Seljuk era.
