Built in the Seljuk era, it was built by Atta Fakhreddin Ali, one of the Seljuk ministers, in 1267. It is built in a rectangular shape. It was built on one storey and iwan. There are school rooms around an open courtyard. The wonderful stonework unearthed in the school makes it all the more valuable. The schools rooms are a bookstore. The fact that it has a magnificent crown door like the Haji Kilic Mosque makes the Madrasa al-Sahhabiyya more valuable.
