Built by Mimar Sinan in 1573, the fact that the dome was covered with lead played a role in the mosques name. The mosque was built with a single dome, as one of the classic examples of Ottoman mosque architecture in the 16th century. The impressive decorations in the mosque and the marble entrance door are the main details that make this place worth seeing. The fountain with pointed arches is as interesting as the mosque itself.
