The castle reflects part of the history of Cankiri, it was built by the Hittites and rubble stone and bricks were used during its construction, it is located in the northern part of the city, its height is 730 meters, it was green with trees in the past, also used as a recreation area. Since it was built, it was used by the Romans, Byzantines, Danish, Seljuks and Ottomans. In the castle, which has been restored by every civilization, there is a cemetery area built in Roman times, a water tank, caves, and a watchtower, few of which remain today due to earthquakes.
