The monasteries of the Seven Churches (Warak Wank Monastery), established on the edge of Mount Eric in the center of Van, consist of five churches in two groups, not 7 churches as its name suggests, there is a bell tower, a gamaton and a library in the area, the oldest church in the monastery Mar Maria, Sofia ... The church built in the eighth century, still has parts open to visitors, although some have been destroyed, the Church of the Virgin Mary, the most important of the other group churches, was built between 1003 and 1021 with a cloverleaf plan.
