Although the exact year of the mosque’s construction is not known, historians who examined the mosque stated that there are traces of the Anatolian and Urartian Seljuks. It is noted that the mosque may have been built in the fifteenth or sixteenth century. The mosque was built in the form of a rectangle, and it was preferred to build cut stone and rubble , the part of the mosque that has survived to this day while preserving the original is the entrance gate and the minaret with one balcony.
