The restoration work, which began in 2015 in the Dersim Barracks building, was completed and the historical building was converted into a museum. The museum was opened to visitors in 2019. The building in which the museum is located dates back to 1936 and the building bears traces of German and Austrian architecture, after being used as a barracks until the year 1949, the building continued to be used as an officers residence until 2015, the interior area is 5800 square meters, painful memories of the Dersim operation are displayed, in addition to the archaeological and ethnographic discoveries of Tunceli, there are 2,000 works in total.
