The castle is located directly above the Bitlis market, and it was built at the request of Badles, one of the important leaders in the period of Alexander the Great, who also gave the city its name. 2,800 meters, built on a huge rock in the area where the stream meets, it was almost used as a separate city at the time of its use and no trench was needed to protect it, the building houses 300 houses, mosques and inns, and also hosts bazaars and covered markets.
