Church of the Virgin Mary, a very important center of worship for the Syriac Orthodox community in Şırnak, and one of the important settlements of the Assyrians in the past. It is believed that the construction of the church dates back to 57 AD and it is known that it was initially called Mor Johan. The church is known as the second oldest church in Anatolia where Christianity was accepted, the name of the church was changed in 1710, the church is not active today.
