The ruins of Dara Mesopotamia, the ancient city ruled by the Persian and Babylonian kingdoms dating back 700,000 years, was founded as a settlement in 530-570 BC by order of the Iranian ruler Darxis. In the 12th century, ruled by the Umayyads, followed by the Abbasids, it passed into the hands of the Ottomans and contains historical ruins. 10% of the area is open to visitors, you can easily see the ruins on the hill inside the ruins and understand that there are dungeons, palaces and markets. The underground city stands out when it was first built, as the place where the first dam in Mesopotamia was built.
