The Zangi school built by the last Artuqi Sultan Malik Najm al-Din Issi bin Muzaffar Daoud bin Malik Saleh in Medina, in 1385, the king of Najm al-Din Issa who fought Timur and his army, was imprisoned in this school for a certain period. Also known as Madrasah Zangiriya, visible from the farthest point with its cut-out domes in the east and west and its high monumental gateway in the east, the rectangular madrasa covers a large area and consists of a courtyard, a mosque, a tomb, and various additional spaces on two floors. There is a corridor that opens to the courtyard with the mosque, and there is a dome with muqarnas in the center of the mosque area to the south, the mihrab perimeter is decorated with inlaid decorations and the minbar is made of cut stones. There is a corridor from the iwan to the west of the courtyard, apparently a tomb and covered with a dome, there are smaller rooms on the upper floor, and these were the rooms of the people who studied at the school before.
