The Great Mosque, an architectural example of the Artocidian period, had two minarets at the time of its construction and was made of cut stone, the dome of the mosque is a structure cut using the external thread technique. This architectural style was used repeatedly in Mardin and became a tradition, its minaret was built on the base of 1888 and 1889, the minaret of the mosque has a total of 16 inscriptions, with the conquest of Timur, it was badly damaged and its minaret, which was destroyed during the Mamluk and Akoyunlu period, was repaired during the Ottoman period , restored between certain periods of time.
