The historic Al-Latifiya Mosque is a very important building that was built in 1371 by the leader of the Artuqid era, Abdul Latif bin Abdullah, also known as the Abdul Latif Mosque because of the person who built the mosque, and it is one of the most famous buildings in the city by every name, the current minaret of the mosque was built in 1845 by the governor of Mosul, Gurku Muhammad Pasha, the geometric decoration attracts attention.
