The church, built in the eighteenth century in use by the Syriac community, has simpler lines than the Catholic churches, and is also known as the Mor Peter and More Paul Church. It is believed that it was built in the 4th or 5th century, when examining the inscriptions written in Syriac, it turns out that the church was restored at the end of the 19th century. The church, built in the style of a basilica, extends from three naves, in an east-west direction, today it is actively used by the Syriac community for worship.
