The open-air museum, opened to visitors on May 24, 2007, is the first and largest open-air museum in Turkey. Excavations took place in 1946 in this place, which was built as a border fortress against attacks from the north, the upper part of the castle, whose foundation was built of stone, was equipped with bricks and fortresses, the fortress that was attacked by Assyria in 700 BC, was burned and destroyed, the hieroglyphs are the place in which the longest bilingual texts are read, and that almost all hieroglyphs were read in Anatolia until 2000 BC. Located in the 4,341 hectares national park, this area is also called Aslantach due to its lion-headed statues. There are also places suitable for picnics and camping.
