Hemeti Castle, also known as Amuda Castle, Amuda has played a role in history as a Crusader castle from the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, the castle was so named because it is located in the village of Hemeti, 70 meters high. It was built in 1212 by the then Armenian King Levon I for the Titan Knights. Amuda was one of the most strategic points in the area, especially in the 12th and 13th centuries, and was used by the Knights of Titan as a headquarters.
