Saint Simeons Monastery, the monastery with very impressive stonework, is one of the historical places that does not get the attention and care it deserves today, its amazing how big stone blocks were brought there at that time. The monastery was built on a rectangular area of 132 x 160 meters. It is estimated that the monastery was built in the sixth century AD. It is mentioned that the monastery had 3 churches, a baptistery and a column of St. Simeon. The monastery draws attention with its story, architectural and historical value, after losing his family in the earthquake, devoting himself to Christianity, he built a pillar to be close to God and continue his life in this pillar. The ruins of the monastery built by his followers after the death of the saint and the column on which Simeon is said to have stood for 40 years still host its visitors today.
