Side Museum is part of a city dating back to the fifth century AD The museum was housed in a building dating back to an ancient Roman bath. The holdings of Side Museum, most of them dating back to the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine eras, were discovered during excavations carried out by Aref Mansell in the ancient city of Side during the period 1947-1967, and include a group of inscriptions and sculptures that are copies of Greek origins made from the Roman era, human figures, and coffins Stone, bones, jars, tomb reliefs, column heads and bases, as well as groups of weapons.
