The construction of Karasis Castle dates back to the 3rd century BC, located at an altitude of about 1000 meters from the sea. The castle was built by Emperor Seleucus Nicator for military purposes and the area was controlled against the dangers that could come from the south, embracing many civilizations throughout history. It is one of the most important military bases in the past, of unprecedented size in the Mediterranean region.
