Sabanci Central Mosque which was built in cooperation with the Turkish Religious Foundation and Sabanci Foundation, is one of the most visited places in the region. The construction of the mosque began in 1998 and entered service after 10 years of work, it contains 6 minarets in total and has a height that can be seen from everywhere. There are four lecture halls, ten itikaf rooms, chat rooms and rooms for imams and muezzins in total. The mosque, which provides an opportunity to worship 28,500 people, is the largest mosque in the Balkans and the Middle East.
