The Bodrum Maritime Museum was first shown in a tent set up in front of Bodrum Castle in 2010. Later, with the contribution of Bodrum Municipality, the old building was collected and opened to the public again as a museum. There are Bodrum boat models and seashells collected from many different places. Private collections, photographs and historical documents of Givat Shakir Kapagli, Halicarnassus fisherman, are on display.
