Firuz Bey Mosque, also known as Kursunlu Mosque because the top of the dome of the mosque is covered with lead, draws attention for its architecture, and it is the oldest mosque in Milas, and thus is among the important places of worship related to the history of Milas. The veined marble doors of the sanctuary, built in 1394 by Firuz Bey, the ruler of Mentchi, were the subject of Oliya Celebi in Seyyat Namah and was referred to as Gokjami. The buildings ornamental stones attract attention, and veined marble has been used on the outside of the mosque and architecturally falls within the category of mosques with inverted T plans. The Firuz Bey Mosque, which was renovated by the General Directorate of Institutions between 1974 and 1977, attracts great interest from tourists and Muslims who want to worship today.
