The Milas Grand Mosque, which appears as one of the rare works from the Ottoman period among the historical places of Milas, is an important place of worship built by Ahmed Ghazi in 1378. The restoration work of the Milas Ulu Mosque was carried out between 1879 and 1912. The Ulu Mosque also known as Ahmed Mosque features Gazi, being the largest mosque in Milas. In the construction of the mosque, church materials from the Roman era were used, and this is evident from the walls of the mosque. Plaster was not preferred on the outside of the mosque.
