The Ax Gate, which appears as the only remnant of Muglas oldest city walls, is one of the oldest historical monuments of Milas. It is 5 meters high and 12 meters wide. Noteworthy is the two-sided ax symbol on this door arch, which is said to be from the 1st century BC. It got its name from this symbol on it. The gate was part of the road that was created to distribute the water brought from the mountains in the past, and in this architectural structure, the type of marble used in many buildings in the area was used, and these marbles were brought from Jabal Sadra.
