Haima Anna is the grandmother of Osman Gazi, founder of the Ottoman Empire, and mother of Artgrel Ghazi. She is the daughter of a Turkoman (Yuruk) from the Kayi tribe of the Bozuk branch of the Oguz. Hemana, located to the west of Ankara, is named after Haima Anna. It was also referred to as the mother state, as the Fat Ottomans settled in Sogut and Dumanis assumed the administration of the state for a certain period and played a vital role in the establishment of the state. Upon his death he was buried in the village of Carsamba, in the Domanesh region. Heims main tomb, Abd al-Hamid, the second Ottoman Sultan, found the tomb of Haima I in 1886 and built the present tomb on it.
