The theater is located on a slope above the rest of the ruins of Hierapolis with its façade exceeding 100 meters. It has two levels of seats, each with 26 rows. Built during the era of the Roman emperors Hadrian and Septimus Severus, the theater is still in very good condition and preserves many original details and some of its decorative paintings.
