The castle, strategically important for its period of existence, is at a point close to two streams in order to ensure the safety of the bridges on the Shark Soyo River and the Sakarya River. The castle was built in a strategic location during the Byzantine period. Two towers of Siffler Castle, measuring 80 by 80 meters, still exist today.
