Osman Hamdi Bey, who lived between 1842-1910, was an important art expert and painter as well as a statesman who lived at the end of the Ottoman Empire. He painted the house and museum where Osman Hamdi Beys diary was found, and it was built in 1884. The painting workshop inside the house consists of the harbor, where he spent exactly 26 summers.
